Beginning Wednesday and Thursday, May 18 - 19, we start a study of The Book of Isaiah. The great Doctor of the Church, St. Jerome, tells us “...this great book of Scripture...contains all the mysteries of the Lord… Whatever is a proper to Holy Scripture, whatever can be expressed in human language and understood by the human mind, is contained in this book of Isaiah.
There are two course options:
1. The basic study option is simply to read about two chapters weekly and watch the 20-minute DVD pastoral lecture. No other books to read. No questions to answer. No discussion participation required. No cost.
2. The in-depth study option goes beyond the basic study and uses the study text by Fr. Mitch Pacwa, S.J. This has additional reading, study questions and participant discussion. You get as much from the study as you put into the study.
The weekly sessions are in the Sarto Center at these two times:
- Wednesday evenings at 6:30
- Thursday mornings at 9:00 ( after the 8 a.m. Mass and Rosary)
You do not have to commit to any option. Come to any session at any time and participate how much or as little as you want.
The study begins Wednesday evening May 18 and Thursday morning May 19. There will be no session Wednesday May 25 due to school graduation.
