Chrism Mass 2016

22 March 2016 - Tuesday

On Tuesday, the 8th graders attended the Chrism Mass at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. Archbishop Rodi, joined by the deacons and priests of the archdiocese, celebrated the mass.  Archbishop Rodi blessed the three oils - the oil of catechumens, the oil of the sick, and holy chrism - which will be used in the administration of the sacraments throughout the archdiocese for the year.  Also during the liturgy, deacons and priests renewed their vows and promises.

After mass, the 8th graders ate a picnic lunch in Cathedral Square.
